Practicals

The West is a LARP without breaks, you will be "in-game" all the time, including when you eat or sleep. The registration fee includes room and board, from early Friday afternoon to early Sunday afternoon.
The larp takes place near Turin; the exact location will be communicated to participants after registration.

It is possible to reach the larp by car or train, and we'll activate a group for carpooling and ridesharing, and possibly a "larp bus" from the closest airport. The location is about 60km away from Turin Caselle airport.

The meeting is Friday at 1 p.m. then we will start with registrations, preparations, and workshops, so we ask you to be on time. The game will start Friday afternoon and there will be no breaks until the end. Since this game is set in a contemporary timeline, there will be no breaks for personal hygiene, sleep, or breakfast. These are all tasks that will be performed in-character during the LARP.

The larp takes place from November, Friday 24 to Sunday 26 2023.
The Italian run takes place the week before, November 17-19.

The experience will run by the schedule of the Corporate Meeting Program, which will be shared in detail only with participants after registration. There will be a wide range of activities, and the characters will move to three different locations during the event.

In a nutshell and without spoilers

  • Starting from Friday to Saturday before lunch the game takes place in the hotel, lodging in double rooms assigned to the characters.
  • Transfers to other locations will take place in-game by private bus.
  • Saturday lunch will be an elegant outdoor picnic with catering and service.
  • Saturday night, on the other hand, will have a glamping style, and characters will stay overnight in a location in touch with nature, in sleeping bags on comfortable cots or beds provided by the facility.

Food will be provided by accommodation facilities or prepared by the staff. As the event takes place in Italy and in modern times, expect typical dishes from Mediterranean cuisine. Several vegetarian options and at least one vegan alternative will always be available.
At some points during the event, a moderate amount of alcoholic beverages will be available. Drunkenness is not tolerated and may be a reason for expulsion from the event at the staff's discretion.

Anyone with special dietary restrictions, such as severe allergies or intolerances, must communicate them to the staff in advance. If it is not possible to provide meals that meet their medical needs, they may bring their own food, which will be stored and served by the staff as needed during the game.

For those who wish to, it is possible to bring extra food or drinks from home that are in line with their character, but without overdoing it.

“It’s only after you’ve stepped outside your comfort zone that you begin to change, grow, and transform”

Safety

All Terre Spezzate events, starting from 2013, use a system of safewords to regulate the intensity of the game and always offer the possibility of opting-out, that is, to distance yourself from a scene or situation you find unpleasant in real life, without consequences in the fiction.
There is no designated offgame "safe zone" at this event, but there will always be a reference staff to whom participants can turn to for any problem.
